It should be reminded that EU foreign ministers confirmed a decision on visa sanction suspension for the Belarusian authorities on March 16.

“Thank you, it’s good. But the question is not in officials and Lukashenka. If Europe thinks it can keep us on the hook, getting signals from our freaks, they can bother and spur us, we won’t carry out a dialogue on this position,” Interfax quotes Lukashenka.

According to the Belarusian dictator, “If Europe wants to cooperate with Belarus on the principles, defined by Solana, wants to see Belarus in the European family, we are ready to this.”

“But we’d like not being bothered on trifles. We need to see the main things, see forest behind the bushes,” A. Lukashenka said.

According to Lukashenka, “the UK, the Netherlands and the others do want (to cooperate with Belarus – IF). What can we do? We can’t make them changed their mind today.”

“but it is a fact that the biggest European state have supported us,” A. Lukashenka stated. He also gave a positive appreciation of the fact that “it’s the first time when our neighbours have supported us. Our dialogue with Ukraine is going on well.”

The Belarusian ruler emphasised that Belarus was developing a dialogue with the European Union without compromising our relations with Russia.

“This doesn’t harm our relations with Russia. Russia is our traditional ally, we will never move far from Russia,” the Belarusian head of state said.

About democratic opposition

Alyaksandr Lukashenka commented on the actions of the Belarusian democratic opposition that said about absence of any progress in democracy and human rights in Belarus and stood against including of dictatorial Belarus in the Eastern Partnership program and invitation of the Belarusian ruler for an EU summit in Prague.

“It’s not the opposition, it is the fifth column, they are enemies of the Belarusian people,” Lukashenka said.

“I’ve got much information, it need to be summarized. But if published how our opposition is working, Brussels, Strasbourg, other European capitals and the US would be shocked,” A. Lukashenka noted.

According to him, as soon as we tried to talk to Europe, and this process took the right direction, this caused hysteria of the opposition.”

According to the Belarusian dictator, “some great figures, released from prisons, are screaming that the authorities and Lukashenka must be baited and pressed during the crisis.”

The Belarusian ruler said he would soon “make some document available to the public, the document about what they are writing to Europe, what Europe should demand from Belarus”. “they want to inflict great harm to our state,” Lukashenka said.

The Belarusian ruler said not long ago he familiarized himself with proposals of opposition on overcoming crisis in the Belarusian economy.

«I was reading and wondering: where do these people live? They offer to privatize plants, cut land and give away to people. Who wants to take land now? Today in Belarus nobody plans to sell anything. The essence of liberalization announced y us is not in that,” A. Lukashenka said.

Lukashenka has also added that “somebody suggests them an idea, and they start to talk nonsense”.

“That’s the position of our lousy opposition. They are not an opposition. They are the fifth column, enemies of the Belarusian people. I state that responsibly,” the Belarusian dictator underlined.

As said by him, “they are ready to sell out to anyone, with just one aim, to twist neck to Lukashenka”, Lukashenka said.

Skiing, Lukashenka was looking for “rich people”

The Belarsuain dictator has also commented on his trips to Armenia and Serbia. As we have informed, the last two weeks he spent with his family and entourage in ski resorts of Serbia and Armenia.

Belarus shows great interest to development of relations with Armenia in different directions, including military and technical cooperation, Lukashenka said.

“We do not have closed topics in our cooperation. We can cooperate starting from selling Armenia cognacs in Belarus and to military and technical cooperation,” the head of the Belarusian state noted.

“We have great interest to Armenia, and now there are certain possibilities for expanding our bilateral cooperation,” A. Lukashenka stated.

As said by the dictator, his meetings and talks in Armenia open great prospects in cooperation of Minsk and Yerevan. “We shouldn’t live by today only, we have our interests everywhere, if we want to live and develop,” A. Lukashenka said commenting his meetings with the leadership and business circles of Armenia. Besides, he stated that “the greatest interest was to find rich people, we should look for investors purposefully. That’s what I had been doing in Serbia and Armenia”. In particular, as said by him, “there are already 15 persons in Serbia who want to work in the eastern market, and they ask to come here to us to work”.

As noted by the head of the Belarusian state, “we should look for investors and bring them to us”. “We should concern ourselves with every project concretely,” A. Lukashenka stated, reminding that Belarusian government has a concrete list of potential investors who had showed their willingness to cooperate with Belarus. “I will expand this list,” he said.

After a long period of silence, the Belarusian dictator set about looking for enemies in and outside the country.
