The oppositionist from Barysau was arrested in Minsk on April 2, on the day of \u201cunity\u201d of people of Belarus and Russia.<\/p>\n
Alesya Yasyuk was pasting posters of the civil campaign \u201cEuropean Belarus\u201d. The woman came to Minsk from Barysau to express her protest against Belarus\u2019s policy towards rapprochement with Russia.<\/p>\n
The woman was seized personal things and searched in the Partyzanski district militia department.<\/p>\n
As Alesya Yasyuk told the Charter\u201997 press center today, she had to spend the night in a cell, and on April 3, she was taken to the court of the Partyzanski district of Minsk in Syamashka Street.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was detained for having pated just one sticker,\u201d Alesya Yasyuk told the Charter\u201997 press center. \u201cI did it in a permitted place \u2013 on a bulletin board at the house entrance. I was detained by a senior militia lieutenant. He didn\u2019t introduce himself and called for a militia squad. I was guarded to the Partyzanski district militia department. After three hours a falsified report was drawn up for the fact I allegedly insulted the district militia officer. I was left in a cell for the night. Now they are guarding me for a trial.\u201d<\/p>\n
