"Despite the arrests of activists, the rallies of solidarity will continue. Today we are going again on to October Square to demand the release of political prisoners.
We understand that there won’t be many of us, but it’s important to show both to Belarusians and to the world that there are people who are ready to go on to the Square, even under threat of arrest – in order to draw attention to what is happening to the prisoners of the regime.
I hope that we will also see party leaders and members of other organizations at the rallies of solidarity.
Only talking about solidarity and support of political prisoners does not save them. Actions are needed – bold and decisive ones,” said Andrei Molchan, an activist of “European Belarus”, commenting on the consequences of the trial of his colleagues.
