Activist of “European Belarus” detained (Updated)

Tonight at Pushkinskaya metro station the campaign activist, Ekaterina Erusalimskaya, was detained.

At the entrance to the metro, police inspected the personal belongings of passengers. During the search of the activist’s rucksack, police found of two cans of paint and a stencil-plate with the words “Freedom for political prisoners!”; they asked the girl to go along with them to a police room in the metro. Then the activist was taken to the Frunzenskii District Police Station in Minsk.

The girl was held overnight at the police station, and in the morning at 10:45, after a discussion with Inspector Ekaterina Muravitskaya, was released without a protocol being drawn up.
